Screw-plug immersion heaters made in Dubai

Compact heaters that screw into the tank

A screw-plug immersion heater, also called a socket immersion heater, carries its heating elements on a threaded plug. The plug screws into a threaded socket in the tank or pipe, so the heater fits where there is no room for a flange and can be changed easily.

Anchor Marine Engineering manufactures screw-plug immersion heaters at its Al Jadaf workshop for liquid heating in pipelines and tanks, and for water heaters, fuel and oil systems.

Each heater is built to your voltage, wattage, thread and immersed length, from one replacement to bulk supply, and tested before delivery.

They are also called threaded immersion heaters, socket heaters or screw-plug heating elements, and can be supplied with a thermostat if required.

Design

How a screw-plug heater is built

Tubular heating elements are fixed into a threaded plug with the terminals on the outside. The thread has to match the socket on your tank or pipe, so we work from your sample or the socket size.

  • Tubular elements in a threaded plug
  • Screws into a tank or pipe socket
  • No flange needed
  • Easy to change in place

Applications

Where screw-plug heaters are used

Compact liquid heating where space is limited.

  • 01

    Water heaters

Elements for water heaters and smaller hot water tanks.

  • 02

    Fuel & oil systems

Heating fuel and oil in tanks and lines.

  • 03

    Pipelines

Fitted into a pipe socket to heat the liquid passing it.

  • 04

    Small tanks

Where a flange heater would be too large for the vessel.

Built to order

What we need to build your screw-plug heater

There is no fixed catalogue size. Each heater is made to the specification of the equipment it is for, or matched to a sample of the old one.

FAQ

Screw-plug heater questions

Not covered here? Call +971 56 278 5002 or email info@anchormarineeng.ae.

What is a screw-plug immersion heater?

It is an immersion heater whose elements are mounted on a threaded plug. The plug screws into a threaded socket in a tank or pipe, so the elements heat the liquid directly without needing a flange.

Is a socket heater the same as a screw-plug heater?

Yes. Socket immersion heater and screw-plug immersion heater describe the same design: a heater that screws into a threaded socket.

When should I choose a screw-plug heater instead of a flange heater?

A screw-plug heater suits water heaters, pipelines, smaller tanks and fuel and oil systems where space is limited. Large tanks that need more heat usually use a flange immersion heater.

Can you match the thread of our existing heater?

Yes. Send the old heater as a sample, or the thread size of the socket, and we will manufacture a heater to fit it.
