Anchor Marine Engineering (AME) was founded in 1995 and works from Shed DY-03 at Al Jadaf Dry Dock, Dubai. It started as a small operation and grew on the strength of its workmanship, adding people and services to meet the needs of both the marine and industrial sectors.
Today our workshop covers motor rewinding and dynamic balancing, heating element manufacturing, ship repair and maintenance, fabrication and welding, piping installation, electrical and automation work, switchgear and control panels, and precision machining.

With temperatures regularly above 45°C and coastal salt air at Al Jadaf, insulation breakdown is the most common cause of motor failure. Every rewind in our workshop uses Class H insulation as standard, and every rewound rotor is dynamically balanced before it goes back into service.

What is the maximum motor size you can rewind?
Our Al Jadaf Dry Dock workshop rewinds AC and DC motors up to 900KW and dynamically balances rotors up to 2.5 tons. We handle LV motors (up to 690V) and HV motors as required.
How long does motor rewinding take in Dubai?
Most small to medium motors (under 50KW) are rewound and returned within 24–72 hours. Larger motors and generator alternators may take 3–7 working days, depending on winding complexity.
Should I rewind or replace an electric motor?
Rewinding is typically 30–50% less expensive than a new replacement, especially for motors above 5KW, and avoids import delays. Replacement is often better if the stator core or frame is damaged, or for very small motors under 1KW. We provide a free written assessment comparing rewind and replacement cost for every motor we inspect.
Do you manufacture custom heating elements and calorifiers?
Yes. We manufacture tubular, immersion, cartridge, finned, inline and mica heaters to your voltage, wattage and material specification, from single units to bulk supply. Hot water calorifiers are custom-built in stainless steel or copper, with capacities from 300 to 5000 litres.

Yes. For equipment that cannot be transported, our team can mobilise to your facility across Dubai and the UAE for on-site inspection, fault diagnosis and minor repairs. Full motor rewinding requires the motor to be brought to our Al Jadaf Dry Dock workshop.
